...Live clean, innocent lives as children
of God, shining like bright lights in
a world full of crooked and perverse
people (Philippians 2:15 NLT).
Preaching the Gospel isn’t only or always about
standing behind the pulpit or on a platform, holding
a microphone. Sometimes, the loudest sermon is your life.
The way you live, speak, respond, and relate should draw
men to Christ; that’s God’s purpose. He said in Isaiah 60:3,
“And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings
to the brightness of thy rising.”
Then in Matthew 5:16, He said, “Let your light so
shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” God has
called you to be a living epistle, the visible expression of
His righteousness, grace and power. In a world filled with
compromise and confusion, your consistency in godliness
becomes a compelling testimony.
People are watching you; your friends, family members,
colleagues, and even strangers. Your life is a message.
Even when they haven’t read the Bible, they’re able to
“read” your life and see Christ, His perfection, integrity,
love and compassion. So, live in the awareness and with
the consciousness that you represent the Kingdom.
This is important because when your life is aligned
with your message, your impact multiplies. Walk in love,
truth, and humility. Let Christ be seen in your eyes, heard
in your voice and felt in your touch. Let your manner of life
reflect the Gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27).
PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank you for making me a living epistle
of your grace. My life reflects your nature and inspires
others to follow you. I’m a bright and shining light in
my world, drawing men and women to righteousness,
in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
